Binghamton: John E. Cebula, 85, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 14, 2013. He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth; two brothers, Walter and Mitchell; and two stepbrothers, Frank and Joseph Mayko. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Linda & David Prislupsky of Kirkwood; a son and daughter-in-law, James & Patricia Cebula of Conklin; 3 grandchildren, Christine & Robert Cebula and William Boland; a special friend, Brian Wescott; several nieces, nephews and cousins. John had an interesting, rich and fulfilling life. He was the right-hand man for Ed Link for many years and eventually retired as a 35-year employee of Singer-Link Corp. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII. John enjoyed his retirement at Lake Gerry in the Oxford area. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 12:15 p.m. at the Bednarsky Funeral Home, Inc., 96 Glenwood Ave., Binghamton, NY and at 1:00 p.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 9 Leroy St., Binghamton, NY, where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home
