Gary Edward Robinson, 83, of Oostburg, WI was born to eternal life on Wednesday morning, July 30, 2014 at Sheboygan Progressive Care Center in Sheboygan. Gary was born on September 26, 1930 in Binghamton, NY to Otto and Christine (Kinney) Robinson. He was a 1949 graduate of Binghamton North High School. He then attended St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY. Gary served his country from 1953-56 in the US Navy. On July 11, 1953 he married Mae Bloodgood in Chenango Bridge, NY. Gary worked for GE Medical in Pewaukee as a Contract Administrator for ten years until his retirement in 1993. Previously he was a contract administrator for Link Aviation in Binghamton, NY. Gary is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mae; two daughters; two sons; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, two brothers-in-law; and a niece and nephew. A funeral service to celebrate Gary's life will be held at the Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Brian Taylor officiating. Military Honors will follow. Burial will take place at the Oostburg Cemetery in the Town of Holland. Relatives and friends may greet the family at the Wenig Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service at 6 p.m. A memorial fund for Wycliffe Bible Translators in Gary's memory is being established.
