William G. "Bill" Fallat Sr., 58, of Dickson City, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 28, 2013.


Born in Passaic, N.J., he was the son of William Fallat, Dickson City, his companion, Marion Falbo; and the late Florence Wisneski Fallat. He was a 1973 graduate of Mid Valley High School where he was an outstanding quarterback.


He graduated with honors from Johnson Technical Institute with a degree in electronics and he was employed for 34 years by L-3 Communications of Binghamton, N.Y., and he traveled the world with his company. He attended Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick's Church, Olyphant.


Bill was a loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He would help anyone in need without hesitation. He was a member of the Mid Valley Hunting Club and he enjoyed hunting and fishing, but especially spending time with his children and grandchildren.


He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.


Also surviving are a son, Billy Fallat Jr. and wife, Laura, Dickson City; a daughter, Jill Fallat Magliocchi and husband, Dave, Throop; the mother of his children and companion, Dina Gillar Fallat, Dickson City; his grandchildren, whom he loved very much and will be in their hearts forever, David III and Samantha Magliocchi, Throop; and Colin William Fallat, Dickson City; a sister, Gail Fallat Nudelman and companion, John Petrisky, Blakely; a brother, Mark Fallat and wife, Karen, Blakely; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.


He was also preceded in death by a nephew, Mark Fallat; and his father and mother-in-law, John and Carmella Bianco Gillar.


The funeral will be Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City, with Mass at 9:30 in St. Patrick's Church, Olyphant. Interment, St. Patrick's Cemetery, Blakely.
