Thomas J. Lesko, 91, of, Johnson City, passed away Monday afternoon, December 5, 2011, at the Susquehanna Nursing Center. He was predeceased by his wife, Genevieve Lesko; his parents Joseph and Christine Lesko and a brother Albert Lesko. He is survived by a son and daughter in law, Thomas R. and Angie Lesko, Endicott; three daughters and two son in laws, Dianne and Robert Decker, Johnson City, Marlene Lesko, Hubbard, OH, Lori and Steve Kraly, Apalachin; six grandchildren, Jason and Jennifer; Michael and Marc; Kevin and Kyle. Five great grandchildren, his companion of 24 years, June Kinney, Johnson City. His extended family, Bill Kinney, and family, Johnson City, Peter Kinney and family, Georgia, Ed Kinney and family, Pennsylvania. He was a member of St. James Church, Johnson City. He was a veternan of World War II, serving in the US Navy and was a member of American Legion, Post 80, in Binghamton and a member of VFW Post 2332, Johnson City. He was actively involved in youth and American Legion baseball for over 66 years. He was a former employee of Link Aviation in Kirkwood, and a retired employee of the General Electric Corp., in Westover. Funeral Services will be held at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home. Inc, 150 Main Street, Johnson City, Friday at 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. at St. James Church, where a funeral mass will be offered. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City.
