Gordon L. Reno, 83, died on Tuesday, August 9, 2011. He was born on July 25, 1928 in Binghamton, NY the son of the late LeRoy and Gladys (Secor) Reno. He was predeceased by his first wife, Mildred; his sisters, Velma Reno, Betty Walker, and Beverly Correll. He is survived by his present wife, Joan; brother and sister-in-law, Royce and Betty Reno; stepchildren, Cynthia Eddy, Kathryn and Verne Benson, Mark and Pam Proper, Peter Desmond, several nieces and nephews; grandchildren, Marc and Nicholas Eddy, Brian and Steven Benson, Kia and Shyla Proper, Peter Desmond Jr. and Branden Desmond.


He was a graduate of Binghamton North High, class of 1947. He joined Greene Eastern Light Lodge #126 in 1981, Master of the Lodge in 1988, Past High Priest of Royal Arch Masons, Greene Chapter#106, Norwich Commandry#46 serving as sentinel, Binghamton Council member and Kalurah Shrine. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and coin collecting. He retired from Link Flight Simulation after 40 years of service as a programmer analyst.


A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 10:00 am at the 1st United Methodist Church, 32 S. Chenango Street, Greene, NY. Burial will take place in the Port Crane Cemetery at a later date. Donations can be made to the Greene Emergency Squad, 8 N. Canal Street, Greene, NY 13778.
