Donald A. Nanius of Endicott, NY, passed away at home with his family after a brief illness on June 28th, 2011. He was 76 years old. He was predeceased by his parents; his beloved wife of 51 years, Theresa; a sister, Ann and brothers, William and Thomas. He is survived by two sons and daughters in law; Mark and Melissa of Bella Vista, Arkansas and David and Donna of Ithaca, NY; two grandsons, David and Dustin of Ithaca, NY; a brother, Robert of Uniondale, PA and two sisters in law; Helen of Syracuse, NY and Jean of Ocala, Fl. He is also survived by several cousins. Donald was a Korean War Veteran serving with the 293rd Engineering Battalion in Baumholder, Germany. He was a graduate of the University of Scranton and was employed by the United States Government prior to his employment with Singer/CAE Link Flight Simulation from which he retired after 30 years of service. Donald spent most of his retirement years compassionately caring for his wife. He enjoyed NY Mets baseball, NY Giants football, reading, crossword puzzles, walking and fishing with his sons. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Endicott, NY.
