Mary Klym 95 Kirkwood fell asleep in the Lord on Thursday morning, October 17, 2013 at the Bridgewater Center. She was predeceased by her late husband of sixty-two years, Harry in 1998 and a brother, George Levchak. She is survived by two daughters, Marlene and her husband, Leo Washburn of Mechanicsburg, PA and Christelle and her husband, Duke Wildey of Carpentersville, IL and her son, Joseph Klym and his wife, Terry of Vestal; seven grandchildren; Renee (Dennis) Hanratty, Leo (Cathy) Washburn Jr., Joseph (Melissa) Washburn, Benjamin (Ara) Washburn, Sonya Jensen, Timothy (Michele) Klym and James (Kerry) Klym; sixteen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; three sisters; Ann (Calvin) Wanser, Helen (Robert) Carpenter, Joann Scovel; three brothers, John and Charles Levchak and Joseph (Marie) Levchak, and many nieces and nephews. Mary was a member of St. Michael's Greek Catholic Church. She was a retired employee of Singer-Link Corporation, Hillcrest. Mary will be greatly missed by her family, who she loved deeply and affectionately called "Baba", for her baking and working at the annual pirohi sales at St. Michael's. A Divine Liturgy and funeral service will be celebrated by Very Rev. Protopresbyter James Dutko on Thursday 9am at St. Michael's Greek Catholic Church, 292 Clinton Street, Binghamton. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Very Rev. Ronald Kovac will conduct a prayer service 4pm Wednesday at the Chopyak-Scheider Funeral Home, 326 Prospect Street, Binghamton where the family will receive friends Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9pm. Contributions may be made in Mary's memory to St. Michael's Kitchen Renovation Fund.
