Lucille M. Foley, 76, loving wife and mother, passed away suddenly Monday, November 18, 2013, after a long, courageous battle with diabetes and other related health issues. She faced her challenges with a positive attitude, few complaints and many laughs. She was predeceased by her parents, Fannie (Monico) and Tony Muro of Binghamton and mother and father-in-law, Mary and Gene Foley of Dushore, PA. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 49 years, Richard E. Foley and her beloved daughters - the joys of her life - Monica Foley of Binghamton and Margot Foley of New York City and Los Angeles. Also survived by brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Jeannie Muro of Endicott; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tom and Jeannie Foley of Dawsonville, GA; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ann and Steve Renninger of Kennesaw, GA, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a 1955 graduate of Binghamton North High School and a former employee of IBM Endicott. After raising her daughters she returned to work at Singer Link until retirement. Lucille enjoyed a very full life and leaves behind a large extended family and many close friends. She was very proud of her Italian heritage and enjoyed cooking and hosting holidays, especially carrying on the Italian Christmas Eve tradition. She was an avid reader, loved movies, concerts, theater and travel. She spent many happy days at Cayuga Lake and several winters in Destin, FL, enjoying a wide circle of friends. The family would like to thank Dr. R. Ramanujan, Katie Scott-Hlavac, the staff of Park Avenue Dialysis and many others for their kind and caring treatment. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 23, 2013, 8:45 a.m. at the James V. Demarco & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass to be offered at St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Friday, November 22, 2013, from 4-7 p.m. at the DeMarco & Son Funeral Home.
