Joseph H. Palmer, age 72, went to be with the Lord on June 28th after a devastating stroke. Joe was a loving and caring man who will be dearly missed. He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Palmer, step-daughter JoAnne Crossman, her husband and her three sons, Christopher, Aaron and Johnny, his brother Dave Palmer, his wife Carol and their children. Joe is also survived by children; Michael, Diane, Danny, their families and many dear friends.
Joe was a former Veteran and retiree of Singer Link. He was also a musician with his guitar and his voice. He later went on to be a bus driver and adored all of the children very much. We will miss him and his ability to always bring a smile to someone's face.
Memorial services will be held Monday, July 7th at 6 pm at Ross Corners Baptist Church 2101 Owego Rd. Vestal, NY 13850. Funeral service starts at 7 pm with an 8 pm dinner to follow at the youth center next to the church.
Robert Amrein, 79, of Binghamton, died Thursday, June 26th, 2008, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Albert J. and Dorothy; and a brother Alan. He is survived by a sister, Marilyn Baird; a very dear friend, Deth Keomony; several nieces and nephews, Lynn and Gary Ames, Julie O'Brien, Robin Baird and children, Eric R. O'Brien, Danielle L. O'Brien, Kristy Lynn Ames and Brianna K. O'Brien; also his very dear friend, Jack Doyle; and several other close friends; and of course his faithful companion, Sandy. He was a lifelong member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Binghamton. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was a member of The Post 80 & VFW.
A Funeral Mass will be offered Monday, June 30th, at 9:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church. Entombment will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call at The Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 137 Robinson Street, Binghamton, New York, Sunday from 12 until 2:00 p.m.
Lucille M. Moschak, 72, of Endwell, passed away Wednesday morning, June 25, 2008, at her home after a long illness. She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Theresa Ondecko; and a nephew, David Ondecko. She is survived by her husband, George C. Moschak, Endwell; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Stephen Fowler, Seven Fields, Pa., Lynette and James Calkins, Elkridge, Md.; two grandsons, Edward James and Russell Curtis Calkins; one granddaughter, Isabel Joy Fowler; a brother, Miles Ondecko, Endwell; one nephew, Robert J. Ondecko, Owego; two nieces, Diane Sansky, Apalachin, Linda Hamilton, Binghamton. She had served in the Air Force Nursing Corps during the Vietnam War. Lucille was a Registered Nurse, formerly working at Wilson Memorial Hospital and retiring from CAE Link Corporation in Kirkwood as an Occupational Health Nurse. Her children and grandchildren were the joy of her life.
Funeral services will be held at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City, Friday at 11:00 a.m. The Very Rev. James Dutko will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services. Louise M. Santanna, of Oliver Street, died peacefully Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at Lourdes Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her parents, Pasquale and Mary Buonomo; her first husband, Joseph J. Santanna; and her brothers, Anthony and Paul Buonomo. She is survived by her loving husband, Ian F. Gilbert, Binghamton; two daughters and one son-in-law, Kay Sampson, Chenango Bridge and Karen and Brian Villecco, Castle Creek; five grandchildren, Jill and Jeffrey Stephens, Jeffrey and Christina Sampson, Joshua Brown, Joseph and Amber Villecco; two great-grandchildren, Jenna Stephens and Sophia Sampson, all of whom were the love and light of her life; one sister, Madeline Penzone, Carbondale; one brother, Joseph Buonomo, Endicott; one sister-in-law, Kay Buonomo, Binghamton; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a member of St. Paul's Church and a retired employee of Singer Link. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother (Nona). She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
