She worked for over 50 years for Singer Link and had the honor of working with many engineers and met many astronauts. Link flew her and her husband to Johnson Space Center in Texas where she met John Glenn, her favorite astronaut. There wasn't any electrical problem she couldn't fix. Her work ethic was second to none and her business acumen was amazing. She lived in Johnson City in an EJ home for over 65 years. She enjoyed her trips out every day, whether it be the daily Dunkin Donuts trips, the weekly hairdresser trips and lunch after at Wendy's or just holding court on her front porch every summer. Thank you to her family, friends and caregivers and Dr. Gasparis who over the last several years have allowed her to stay in her own home. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 10:30am at the Barber Memorial Home, Inc. 428 Main Street Johnson City. Burial will follow in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday at 9:30am until the time of the service at the Barber Memorial Home.
