Eileen H. Hartman, 66, of Harford, PA went to her Heavenly Father on Monday, April 4, 2011, at the Barnes Kasson Hospital, after a brief battle with cancer.

Born on June 22, 1943, and a graduate of Hallahan, H.S. in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Catherine and Edward Murray of Philadelphia.

Eileen is survived by her husband John M. Hartman, who she married in 1964 in Philadelphia and would have been married for 47 years this May 16th; also her daughter Lisa and husband Jamie of Nicholson, PA; son Michael and wife Tracy of Lakewood, PA; son Shawn of Scranton, PA, and son Matthew and wife Kathleen of Bothell, WA; Sister Patricia Bogle of Bensalem, PA, four grandchildren she loved very much, Joshua, Joseph, MacKenzie and Cade; and many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.  Eileen was a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Jackson, PA. She was a CCD teacher for many years, lector, secretary for the Christian Women Association, and a member of both the St. Martin's choir and the Arts Council of which she participated in a number of plays. She also helped clean the church, made pierogies and hoagies for fundraisers and for over 20 years did the take outs for St. Martin's Labor Day Picnic and supported her church and community in many other ways. She enjoyed gardening, bus trips, cruises, casino trips, and touring the wine country with good friends. She was employed for 20 years with Link-Simulation (now L3 Communications) as an Administrative Assistant and a Financial Analysis. She was employed by Universal Instruments for several years, and she also was secretary for the Head Engineer at Corning Company in Benton, PA. She worked in the Business office for the Mountain View School District for a number of years before retiring. She continued to work part time for St. John's in Susquehanna, PA and St. Martin's of Tours as the church business secretary before retiring in January. She loved and raised her family with passion and will be deeply missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at the St. Martin of Tours Church in Jackson, PA, on Saturday, April 9, 2011, at 11am with Rev. Alfhonses officiating.Burial will be held in the Gibson Cemetery, Gibson, PA.

The family will receive friends at the Hennessey's Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA, on Friday, April 8, 2011, from 4 to 7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , St. Joseph Center in Scranton, PA, or the Harford Volunteer Fire Company Harford, PA
