Dorothy Evelyn (Runyon) Folmsbee, 76, went to be with her Lord on January 28, 2010 after a long illness. She was predeceased by her loving parents, Florence and Earl Runyon of Castle Creek, NY, formerly of Johnson City; one sister, Gwendolyn Shields, Cheektowaga, NY. She is survived by her husband, Merlin Folmsbee of 60 years, her only son, Reverend Dr. Kenneth and Patricia Folmsbee, Yalaha, FL; two daughters, Bonnie and Keith Manning, Lisle, NY and Kathy Genung of Syracuse, NY. She had five grandsons and one granddaughter; 19 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Eugene Turner, Chenango Bridge, NY and Betty Spangenburg, Plains, PA and cousins, nieces and nephews. Dorothy is also leaving her pet dog "Star". Dorothy was a member of Bethesda Bible Church, Binghamton, NY and a member of Eastern Star, Whitney Point Chapter. In her earlier years. She was known as "Grandma Dot" to many kids in the Lourdes Pediatric unit years ago. She also worked as a Head Maintenance Facilitor at Singer Links. Dorothy loved to color and write stories of her childhood and her life. She was the marble champion in Johnson City. She was humorous in everything she did. She was loved by all.
Memorial Services will be held at the Bethesda Bible Church on Middle Stella Ireland at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 1, 2010, Pastor Fletcher Chapin officiating. Family and friends are invited to call at the church on Monday from 9am until the time of service
