Carl W. Daugherty, 88, of Susquehanna, PA passed away, December 16, 2013 at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City, NY. He was the husband of Martha R. (Rapp) Daugherty with whom he shared 61 years of marriage on April 4th. Born in Lebanon, he was a son of the late Robert and Mabel (Kleiser) Daugherty. He was an army veteran, having served in WWII where he was part of the European Theater. He was a graduate of Lebanon High School and a graduate of Lebanon Valley College. He also attended classes at the University of California and the University of Wisconsin. Carl was a Technical Editor and Writer for the Singer Link Corp. of Binghamton, NY, having retired in 1986. He was a member of the Heidelberg Historical Society. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by two daughters, Kinneret H. "Heather" Ayalon, Hillsboro, OR, and Kimberly M. Kochis, Jacksonville, FL; two grandchildren, Alissa M. Kochis, and Chris J. Kochis, both of Jacksonville, FL; a brother-in-law, Donald Rapp, Huntingdon; a special cousin, Mary L. Meyer, Lebanon; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Daugherty; and three sisters, Evelyn Kichline, Jeanne Sentz, and Lucille Vance.
