Susan A. Hobal

of Binghamton

Susan A. Hobal, 85, of Binghamton, died Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at her home. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary (Yurcak) Hobal; two sisters, Anna (Hobal) Hudak on June 29, 1991, Helen Ann (Hobal) Haus on December 05, 2005; one brother, John B. Hobal on June 04, 1944. She is survived by two nieces and one nephew, Eleanor A. (Hudak) Kollar, Janice M. Decker and her spouse, Harold M. Decker II, Endicott, and John R. Haus and his spouse, Elizabeth (Libby) Haus, Binghamton; two special great-nieces and one special great-nephew, Katharine A. Haus, Binghamton, Heather M. Decker, Endicott, and Nathan A. Haus, Binghamton; and by many other great-nieces and great-nephews. Sue worked for Singer-Link for over 40 years and retired in June of 1889. She enjoyed traveling, going to Bingo, Atlantic City, and gatherings with her many friends and family. She will be missed greatly by her family and friends, as she had a generous heart and a warm personality.

Calling hours will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 03, 2008, with Funeral Services following at 11 a.m. at the Coleman & Daniels Funeral Home, 300 E. Main Street, Endicott.


Austin T. Sabetta

of Chenango Bridge — (Finance)

Austin T. Sabetta, age 66, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, April 27, 2008. Austin was predeceased by his parents, Austin and Elizabeth Sabetta. He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Arlene Sabetta, Chenango Bridge; his son, Jeff and Robin Sabetta, Raleigh, N.C.; his brother, Michael and Kathleen Sabetta; his sister, Ann Marie and Joseph Kiselevach, all of Pittston, Pa.; two nephews; and a special niece, Laura Kiselevach, New York City; also many close and dear friends.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at 11 a.m. from the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson. Burial will follow at Chenango Valley Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-7 p.m.


Ruth L. McDevitt

of Hallstead, Pa.

Ruth L. McDevitt, 78, of Hallstead, Pa., passed away Sunday, April 27, 2008, in Binghamton, N.Y. She was predeceased by her first husband, William A. Fish in 1973; a daughter, Christine M. Fish in 1965; and a son, James A. Fish in 1986. Ruth is survived by her second husband, Robert F. McDevitt. Also surviving are her children, David W. Fish, Sacramento, Calif., Robert C. and Sharyn Martinfish, Apalachin, N.Y., Cheryl A. and Mike Ciccarelli, Granite Bay, Calif., Carol R. and Melburt Benitez, Sacramento, Calif., Connie S. and Jim Geist, Holley, N.Y., and Cathy L. Slater, Kirkwood, N.Y.; a sister, Ruby and Jack Clarkson, Inverness, Fla.; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Ruth was employed at Singer-Link and retired in 1984. A special thanks to Ruth's home healthcare provider, Pam Ervin and to Bill Thompson from Barnes-Kasson Transportation.

A funeral service will be held at Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, 5 Susquehanna Avenue, Hallstead, Pa., on Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Richard Woodruff officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hallstead, Pa. The family will receive callers at the funeral home Wednesday from 12 noon until the start of the service. Should friends so desire, expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to the Blue Ridge Senior Center, Great Bend, Pa. 18821; or to the Dialysis Unit at Binghamton General Hospital, Binghamton, N.Y.

Joseph Patrick Fueller, 55, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2008, in Fort Worth.

Service: private. Burial: Skyvue Memorial Gardens.

Survivors: Ex-wife, Nadine Fueller; and sons, Joseph and Michael Fueller.
